“Thanks to impermanence, everything is possible”

— Thich Nhat Hanh

Hi, I’m Angela.

I am a clinical social worker licensed in the state of California specializing in the treatment of adolescents, adults, and couples. I have advanced training and over 40 years of experience in the treatment of mood disorders, anxiety disorders, eating disorders, trauma & loss, complex family dynamics, and parenting issues. In both my clinical work and teaching, I draw from and integrate a broad understanding of many models of relational and neurobiological clinical theories.

I maintain a private practice, offering primarily remote video appointments, with occasional in-person appointments at my office in Menlo Park, CA.

SPECIALIZATIONS

Chronic Illness

Chronic illness impacts not only the individual, but also significantly affects and complicates family dynamics and relationships.

Anxiety & Mood Disorders

Anxiety and mood disorders are experienced uniquely by each individual. Taking a patient-centered approach, I work to identify both the strengths and challenges these conditions present, while also exploring their impact on personal relationships.

Couples and Marital Counseling

I work with both queer and straight couples, recognizing and respecting the unique dynamics and experiences each relationship brings. Whether navigating issues like infidelity, grief and loss, divorce, or attachment, I offer a compassionate, culturally informed approach tailored to the specific needs of each couple.
